Points from a Talk given by Vinod Khosla, IT Visionary & Top Venture Capitalist, USA in February 2001.

Vinod Khosla uses DELL and CISCO As Action Verbs for every Organization to demonstrate the Strategic Power of Real Time Corporations.
DELL has demonstrated the Power of 'No-Middlemen' Strategy in the Computer Hardware Indsutry by virtue of it's Strong Use of An Internet-Based Global Information Technology
Backbone.
CISCO has also used the Power of the Net to create a strong formidable Real Time Corporation. They have the capability to close their Accounts within 3 hours of Financial Year-End on a Global Basis.
Two Significant Requirements For Real Time Corporations :
Adaptive Architecture - The Ability of An Organization's Information Technology Infrastructure and Software Architecture to continously adapt itself to the Fast Changing Business Environment.
'Evolvable
Applications' - Software Applications that can evolve over Time. That are really 'Soft' by their Name as 'Software'. Not 'Hard', 'Rigid' and 'Inflexible' as they are today.
