Some people have wondered as to whether C-Level Jobs in Organizations (CEO, CFO, COO, CTO, CIO, CKO) etc can also be offshored overseas to help organizations cut costs further. This small piece originally written on 4th March 2004 was a minuscle attempt to examine the possibility of the same. Sayonara ! 'Good Bye' In Japanese ! Surely Sending Off C-Offices Offshore ! Maybe not as tongue-twisting as the last line of yesterday's article ! " She sells sea-shells by the sea-shore." |
In many debates, many people have wished that jobs of C-Level Types (CEO's, CFO's, COO's, CIO's, CKO's, CTO's ) are outsourced to far-away shores. So that organizations can save huge amounts of money on C-Level Executive Compensation ! (Exactly similar to the manner in which C-Level Types (except CIO's) secretly wanted to wish away the IT People !) However, as we would all agree, C-Level Jobs are not easy. They have a lot of expectations from Information Technology to help them ease their pain areas to reach their business goals. Maybe, the offsourcing trend has already started crawling upwards the corporate hierarchy, towards the Cozy C Club. ![]() |
Thomas Friedman of the New York Times called it Globalization 3.0. And just like Version 3.0 upwards of most software packages, maybe Globalization 3.0 could really be feature-rich and bug-free. For the whole world. Not just for us, a few privileged folks. Yes. Maybe, the above title should have been 'Shareholder's Sayonara'. Just as the Disney CEO found out to his dismay. When he was pushed out by the shareholders ! ! |
