![]() ![]() It is our understanding that it is the responsibility of the Appraisal Teams who are obligated to verify for themselves the truth of claims being made by organizations as regards SEI CMM Level Ratings. Consider extracts from the above document (page numbers indicated): |
![]() ".....Appraisal Teams are obligated to seek and consider objective evidence of multiple types in determining practice implementation and good satisfaction....." This is also Elaborated quite in detail in other different parts of the document. ![]() ".......SCAMPI Method Emphasis on Verification-Based Appraisals and minimise the need for on-site discovery of objective evidence..... ![]() |
Organizations may provide as input to the appraisal a Practice Implementation Indicators (PII) Database with a mapping of the (CMMi) model practices to the corresponding processes and objective evidence that can be used to verify practice implementation..... Perhaps, the keywords 'may provide' perhaps indicate that it is an optional requirement and not a necessary one. This is a very important point to note as the requirement not being necessary may get ignored by organizations. ![]() |
