Enterprise Application Integration - More details
What is important is the constraints that one has to accept with the Enterprise connectivity and integration.
e.g. If the lane outside our home leads to an expressway, we have to adjust my speed accordingly while moving into the same.
We may have to wait at a signal (if there is one) to make sure that the cars moving on the expressway at high speed are not a danger to our safety or vice-versa.
Similarly, in the aviation industry, traffic controllers give different route plans and flying heights to planes to make sure they stay out of each other's way.
At the same time, airports handle thousands of arrivals and departures every day on the same limited number of their runways.
The problem of data integration in a large and complex enterprise is exactly the same as the two examples mentioned above.
